QPootle (‘Pootle’ to his friends) wants to get his good friend Groobie the perfect birthday present. Trouble is, his other good friend Oopsey has an unfortunate knack of messing up every present Pootle creates, much to Pootle’s annoyance. And when Pootle decides to renovate Groobie’s old spaceship, Oopsey messes that up as well and the two little aliens are blasted across the galaxy, crash landing on Earth. As they argue and blame each other, their ship is stolen by terrifying giants, actually a seven-year-old boy and four-year-old girl.

Can Pootle and Oopsey brave the terrors of this strange new world in which they are only six inches high and make it back to their ship? Can a rescue mission, led by Groobie save them in time? And crucially, will Pootle and Oopsey still be friends by the end of this intergalactic adventure?
